Sometimes I just want to have some fun and making like 10 espressos a night, however we all know that it’s pretty bad to drink 10 espresso drinks in like 2 hours, so I’ll just do them as decaf. I had to look around and saw some espresso beans that were decaf. So I bought them!
The ratio for these beans is 75% Robusta and 25% Arabica. This says something, but it also doesn’t say everything. You could get really good Robusta that tastes like good Arabica, but I wouldn’t say that this is the case in this bag of coffee. A simple rule is to always have 50% Arabica or more, that makes it surer that the sweetness will be more balanced. However, the real important thing here is that it’s Decaf. Being decaf, it’s good, but it’s not the most chocolatey espresso I’ve tried, so the search for the amazing decaf isn’t over. Maybe roasting some espresso beans myself could be the trick?
I know that Caffè Mauro has a lot of different types of espresso so I have to try their other stuff later for sure!
