So for 2021 I had a favorite espresso all year, and that was The Hobo from Gringo Nordic Coffee Roasters. Today I’m writing about another espresso from them, this is a more traditional Italian take to it. The blend of beans are from Brazilian Senhora De Fatima, Sumatra Raja Toba, Ethiopia Aricha Natural 1 & Robusta India Plantation ab. All of these are organic!
As they’ve written on front and back of the bag “The Outsider hides no bitter thruths, we have roasted only organic beans from the best organic farms and cooperatives we can find”. Every bean are trackable and these coffee farms/regions are places that I’ve heard a lot since I began with specialty coffee, so you get a hint of which taste profile they’re going for.
I go for a ratio between 2:1 to 1:1, the latter one is a ratio I use for milk drinks & cocktails. I liked this hazelnut punchy espresso a lot, but the best I’ve ever tried is there “The Hobo”, however, that’s the best I’ve tried yet so this one is still really amazing.
