The sun is starting to come out and my fully windowed balcony makes it feel like summer in March. Brewing a cup of coffee with the Aeropress and hanging out with my girlfriend playing a card game together with both cats is just pure joy.
It’s been a long while since I’ve been writing about coffee from Kafferäven, and when I noticed that it’s been like half a year I had to buy a large order to make up for that. So you’ll see a lot of Kafferäven’s magical coffee the following weeks.
Today’s review is about a coffee I’ve never tried before and it’s from Bridazul, which has a different process. Copying from the info from their website:
“Processing for Bridazul is more than just pulping, washing and drying the coffee. Years of data collecting and experimenting with fermentation methods, temperature and slow drying give Bridazul a unique position in the market with more options for processing than necessary. In 2020 Tim Willems at Bridazul found they had several experimental lots that in themself was too small to export, but combined could make a beautiful blend.”
This blend is called “Lights Out!” this one has a lot of wine like flavor, I also get nostalgic because the syrup in canned fruit gives me the same feeling. Brewing this with a really hot temperature gives you the punch in what you seek in this coffee. It’s really an amazing coffee.
I bought my bag directly from the roaster @kafferaven, look them up, they do great stuff!
