Kafferäven Per Nordby – Subscription – La Picona

This coffee is actually from the Subscription box by Kafferaven from December. Since I did the advent calendar every day I couldn’t get it to fit in. However, we’ll do it now and you might have some left in your cupboard. So let’s drink it together!

Today’s coffee is from Nicaragua and has my absolute favorite variety. It’s a gigantic one! It’s called Maracaturra. This coffee is called La Picona and is a coffee I’ve tried before. This is an amazing coffee, its process is natural (my favorite) and you get so much more punchy flavors because of that.

I experience a lot of flavors and it actually doesn’t come in any set order, it’s different every sip. I get some semi dried grape flavor with hints of fermentation, almost like wine. I also get some milk chocolate which makes this super easy for everyone to appreciate. Also very easy to brew, there’s low risk of mishaps, you’ll get a full bodied cup of coffee.

As usual the coffee from these subscriptions from @kafferaven is making me so happy, it’s really nice to get a coffee that’s “seasonal”, and for me it has almost been a hit every time.
