Pennybridge Roasters Kenyan coffee has always been really good, the other one I reviewed a while ago, and it was actually as long back as October 2019. So of course this coffee was brilliant as well, both where from the Nyeri district and had high punching notes of blackcurrant, citrus and a floral complexity. It’s really tasty and was really good to drink as a cold brew.
When I got the bag, the people from @kaffemastaren told me that chocolate (on the picture) from Valrhona, would be just perfect together with the coffee. The chocolate and coffee made some acidic mystery that I can’t really explain with words. It was buttery meltiness (of course since the coffee is a bit hotter than the chocolate and it melts…), But the taste was really lovely, thanks for giving me the experience of that combination!
The coffee is very juicy, the most lovely experience (not counting the chocolate combination) was with the siphon, it was such a perfect brewing method for this Kenyan coffee. The blackcurrant is so clear when you brew it with the siphon, one of the best Kenyans I’ve had all year.
