Okay, first of all, it’s been a very long time since I posted; it’s been a lot. But I will be back soon with a lot of posts, of course! I’ve also had some issues with the camera batteries, but now I have everything sorted out in the end.
Back to the post!
I ordered some coffee from @baristashopen_se a long time ago, and before I placed the order, I looked around a bit to see if there was anything else that caught my interest.
After browsing for a while, I came across a different kind of coffee. What caught my attention is that the roastery wrote in the description “We have done something close to illegal…”. Well, the thing is that they’ve been roasting it pretty hard; instead of just making a dark roast, they roasted it twice. Or as they say, “double roasted”. Which isn’t common at all in the specialty coffee world.
The blend from @uppsalakafferosteri is 50% arabica and 50% robusta, and that’s fine. But for filter coffee, I would have preferred something with cleaner flavors. However, in my coffee machine from @delonghisverige, it works perfectly fine with this coffee or if you would make it as an espresso.
What stood out the most when I looked at it was how oily they were, dark roasted, and how easy they were to grind by hand.
However, it’s a fun experiment, and I do encourage it a lot. It was a fun experience and for if you know someone who loves dark coffee, give them this – since it’s double black!
